As seen in Knitscene Fall 2006:

Photos by Anjeanette Milner

Ella Ofori models a raglan sweater knitted by Anjeanette Milner. The pattern is Retro Prep from the Fall 2002 Interweave Knits, and she used handspun yarn by Amy King. Model, Ella, is a scientist who loves to be creative. She recently bought a wheel and is now spinning her yarn too!

Kristen Brodbeck wears a cabled cowl-neck sweater she knitted out of Araucania Nature Cotton. She wears this incredibly comfortable sweater a lot!

Samantha Lockwood is a climber, potter, and knitter. Last year she knitted this dress and wore it to a gallery opening of her artwork. The pattern is Rowan Butterfly.

Scott Hammer models his new scarf that friend Megan Curran (described below) knitted for him. The scarf is Megan’s own design using a modified chart from TheAnticraft.com and is knitted in Andean Silk.

Sherry Weller models a Flower Basket shawl (from Interweave Knits) she knitted using Knitpicks dye-your-own-yarn. It was her personal challenge during Stephanie Pearl-McPhee’s Knitting Olympics. She loved how her hand-dyed yarn turned out. The deep terra-cotta color was exactly what she wanted.

Megan Curran wears her toasty warm handknitted cardigan and hat. The cardigan is the Fairly Easy Fair Isle from Debbie Stoller’s Stitch ‘n Bitch Nation, and the hat is Coronet from Knitty.com. Both are knitted with Lion Brand Jiffy.

Salvatore Patrone wanted to see if he could design something pictorial with mosaic knitting. He models the resulting scarf, knitted with yarns from his stash.

Rob Sobotka likes to design his own clothing. He knits for the pleasure of creating something beautiful to wear out of nothing. Here he models a feather and fan scarf and wool mittens.
